Visiting Brendan and Pam in Boston
Just before the pandemic began, our friend Pam accepted a postdoc research position at Harvard and moved to Boston. Her husband, and our friend, Brendan, was able to join her a year later. We hadn’t seen the two of the together in quite a while so we planned a trip to go visit them and do some sight-seeing in Boston.
This was our first trip to the east coast together and our first trip out of town since the pandemic began. What started as a tightly scheduled weekend trip was extended when American Airlines canceled our flight four hours before we were set to head to the airport. We made the best of our extra night in Boston. We even got to reunite as a trivia team and win a free bar tab! It was nice to be able to celebrate Pam’s new job and some recent changes in our lives…
